ROAR is a real-time location tracker that can notify your contacts where you are if you are in need of help. If one does not feel safe, all they have to do is simply press the center of the device and it notifies those that you have designated in their app via text. From there, one’s friends and family can ask for an update or call to make sure the wearer is safe. It can be used as a silent alarm to alert one’s friends or be used as an active alarm used to call attention to wearer and attacker. It is paired with one’s phones via Bluetooth to send designated text messages.
It is a sleek and discreet device that can be worn as a necklace, clipped to clothing, or attached to a purse. It has a rechargeable battery that has about two weeks’ worth of battery life. It is simple and effective and can help women who go out hiking, jogging, walking, go to bars, etc.
Currently the device is being programmed to call 911 when the wearer activates the device. It currently is not available in the device, but once it is all devices will have the feature as it will be released via a mobile application update.
